چکیده

The project aim is to secure the network or a LAN by implementing such a software which is enable to carry out operations which are capable to monitor whole of the network ,sitting on one chair by viewing remote desktop ,passing messages to remote system and is also able to shut down the system by performing remote aborting operations . This software is purely developed in JAVA RMI (REMOTE METHOD INVOCATION). This project is to provide the maximum details about the network to the administrator on their screen without knowing them their users. The administrator can view the static image of client’s desktop and then he/she could sends warning message to the user to stop that operation immediately. Even than if client do not stops than administrator has the facility to abort the system remotely or restart the system whatever necessary he thinks. Key Terms: Monitoring; RMI; Java; LAN; Security

A Framework for Achieving Better Load Balancing and Job Scheduling in Grid Environment

Traditional multiprocessors Super computer systems do have certain constraints viz computing elements, storage space etc. These constraints can be minimized in Grid environment provided a proper job scheduling and load balancing algorithm is available. The existing job scheduling and load balancing are either in fully centralized or fully decentralized in nature. In this paper, we propose a sch...

JMaCS: a Java monitoring and control system

JMaCS is software intended to facilitate, in soft realtime, the local or remote interactive and programmatic monitoring and control of some distributed target, such as an astronomical telescope or telescope network. It is derived from experimental software written for a radar used for observing the Earth's ionosphere, and aims to bring to bear the remote polymorphism afforded by Java RMI (Remot...

RISO: An Implementation of Distributed Belief Networks

This paper describes RISO, an implementation of distributed belief network software. Distributed belief networks are a natural extension of ordinary belief networks in which the belief network is composed of subnetworks running on separate processors. In keeping with the distributed computational model, no single processor has information about the structure of the entire distributed belief net...

Comparison and Performance Study of Parameter-Passing Semantics and Implementations of Remote Method Invocation

Remote method invocation (RMI), which is an action of invoking a method on a remote object, is widely accepted abstraction for communicating and sharing objects among distributed sites. Ideally, the parameter-passing semantics of RMI should be as close as possible to that of local method invocation. However, in distributed environments, adherence to local parameter-passing model prevents contro...

Mechanisms for object caching in distributed applications using Java RMI

Remote Method Invocation (RMI), a mechanism to access remote objects in Java-based distributed applications, uses network communication for each method invocation. Consequently, using RMI in a wide-area environment can cause poor application performance. One solution to improve performance is to cache the objects such that network communication is not necessary for each method invocation. In th...
